100_0422Hi, I’m Sunny.  A Native American Indian Dog injured a new born infant in Kentucky today.  The dog snatched the infant from the infant’s crib and took the infant into the woods.

The Native American Indian Dog can weight between 55 t0 120 pounds.   It is a mix of Husky, Malamute, Chinook, German Shepherd and Indian reservation dogs.   It can be silver, black, tortoise shell or a broken pattern in color.  It’s hair can be short and dense or long with a dense undercoat.  The eyes are almond shaped and brown or amber in color.  The head is broad with upright ears.

The dog is an intelligent animal and easily trainable.   It is very loyal to it’s owner are usually harmless.  The dog does not make a good house dog.   A large yard is the best environment where it has room to run.   It can be used to pull a sled or hunt game.

The dog was used by the Indians to hunt, as a guard dog and to carry goods.   There is a controversy as to the origin of the dog.   One opinion is the dog was named by a breeder and never existed with the Indians.   Another opinion is the original dog is extinct and the Indians had dogs that were interbred with dogs from other countries.  A third opinion is the dog is a very rare breed that originally lived with the Indians.
